Local media releases name of victim stabbed and killed at Northside High School in North Carolina

The identity of the victim who was killed in a violent attack at Northside High School last Thursday in Jacksonville, North Carolina, has been released.

WITN News, based in New Bern, North Carolina, said they have been denied by Jacksonville Police Department multiple times the identity of the victim who was killed in the attack.

The news station identified the victim as 17-year-old Saddique Melvin.

Three students have been charged with the victim’s death.

A 16-year-old is charged with voluntary manslaughter, a*sault with a deadly weapon, a*sault on a school official, and possessing a weapon on a school campus/property.

A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were also charged with two counts of a*sault and disorderly conduct at school.

Last week the victim’s uncle took to social media to tell his nephew that he loved and will miss him.
