A 19-year-old North Carolina A&T freshman and 15-year-old Dudley High School student are dead after a shooting Tuesday night at a popular apartment complex in Greensboro, North Carolina.

On Tuesday night, the off-campus block party to celebrate A&T’s’ Greatest Homecoming On Earth’ (GH*E) resulted in two people being killed and four others injured.

NC A&T said the block party was not an official A&T festivity.

The shooting comes four days before Rapper Lil Baby is set to perform for the school’s homecoming on Saturday night, October 29, at the Greensboro Coliseum.

Police say the shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. on Circle Drive.

19-year-old A&T Freshman Kaneycha Turner was killed.

In a social media post, Turner’s mother, Latoya Rucker, said her daughter was not at the party but was running for safety moments before she was killed.
